Cabinet Refinishing in Denver Colorado

Cabinet Refinishing Denver offers a variety of creative ways to spice up your kitchen and/or bathroom cabinetry in Denver, Colorado. A simple change or two, such as painting and/or refinishing your cabinets, will give your room a fresh new appearance and feel for less than the cost of replacing them. Refacing cabinets, a process of veneering existing cabinet boxes and replacing doors and drawer fronts, is another option.

We Guarantee a Factory Finish

It’s important to understand, the importance of kitchen cabinets having the flawless appearance of a factory finish. however, that poor cabinet design or hidden structural flaws may not allow for painting and/or refinishing alone. Some less expensive cabinetry can grow especially frail with age. Often times, thin sides and backs are veneered with vinyl paper, and can peel or delaminate. Also, undersize particle-board cabinet bottoms or shelves may sag or break. In these cases, you could still replace doors & drawers, but the vast structural issues render these types of cabinets a bad idea for refinishing and/or painting. You would be better off replacing them.

However, if damage seems limited to worn surfaces, nicks and dings—painting can work miracles… especially when coupled with new cabinet hardware.

Does your kitchen have the 80’s feel with the white-wash stain? Or does it feel like you’ve gone back in time to the 1990’s with your orange oak stain?  I suddenly feel like a flashback to the 80’s.

If you’ve looked into what it would cost to replace your cabinets and start from scratch, your heart may have skipped a beat when you were presented with the price-tag.  My father recently replaced the cabinets in his kitchen for a whopping $15,000 to $50,000

This Consists of only replacing the doors and drawers on your cabinets but is still very expensive.  Estimates I’ve received range from $9,000-$14,000, depending on the size of your kitchen.

Painting your kitchen cabinets is the most cost-effective way to transform the look of your Kitchen.  If your cabinets are currently stained, our proprietary process will convert them to paint and you will be left with a factory finish.

How do we achieve this?  The short answer – multiple steps in the process where we lightly sand your cabinets, use the highest quality products, two top-coats of paint (most paint companies in North Texas apply one coat of paint – keeps your cost down a bit but you lose both durability and the smooth factory finish) and we use a spray application to avoid brush strokes.

The most important factor when painting cabinets?  Having professional, skilled painters that take pride in there work and understand how to prep the cabinet surface prior to paint. We service all areas throughout Colorado including: Castle Pines, Lakewood CO, Littleton Co., Superior Colorado, Erie CO., Broomfield, Castle Pines Co, Lafayette Colorado, Littleton, Frederick Colorado, Highlands Ranch, Loveland Colorado, Jefferson County, Boulder Co, Frank Town Co., Adams County and all of Denver County, Castle Rock, Arapahoe County, Parker Co, centennial Co, Castle Rock Co, and all of Centennial CO, including Longmont Co, Colorado Springs CO, Firestone CO, all of Colorado, Louisville Colorado, Douglas County, Thornton colorado, fort Collins Colorado, .

The typical cabinet paint job (depending on size) will take 7-10 business days. That includes prep, application of the product, and clean up.

Okay, okay – I know you want to know the pricing.  Here it is.  The price range on most cabinet paint projects is $3,500 – $5,500, all in.  This includes the conversion from stain to paint.  If you’re interested in antiquing or a glaze on top of the paint, expect an additional charge.
If your cabinets are already painted and you simply want to repaint them the same or a different color, the range is $3,250 – $4,150.

Another item to note:  I’ve seen it many times – a client wants to paint there cabinets, they compile several quotes and go for the cheapest company/person.  The person they’ve hired doesn’t know how to properly prep the surface and simply applies paint on top of the stain.  What happens next?  You can peel the paint off your newly painted cabinets with your fingernail days after the job is done.
Going with the cheapest quote can actually cost you more in the long run.

To fix this issue, you now have to strip the newly applied paint then properly convert the cabinets to paint.  You can see how important it is to hire a professional paint company.  Doing it right the first time is more cost effective than doing it wrong once.  Keep in mind, Denver, Colorado does not require Painting contractors to have a license.

What does this mean?   Anyone can claim to be a painter – chances are these are the cheapest quotes you’ll receive and you may end up in the scenario described above.
